Mildred P. Obert-Thorn (Stanczack)

Mildred P. Obert-Thorn of Lansdale and formerly a resident of Warrington, Huntingdon Valley and Philadelphia passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the Gwynedd Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.  She was 96. 

Mildred was the beloved wife of the late Anthony N. Obert-Thorn, Jr. 

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Eva Hudachick Stanczack.

Mildred was an artistic lady who enjoyed sewing, knitting, ceramics, painting, and creating stained glass pieces of art.  She was an avid gardener and baker, but she cherished being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Mildred will be greatly missed but eternally loved by everyone who has had the pleasure and honor to have been in her life and loved by her.

Mildred is survived by her loving and devoted children, Mark A. Obert-Thorn and his wife, Catharine, and Melanie Eve Obert-Thorn Longenhagen.  She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Caitlin Gasco and her husband, John, Melanie Eve Longenhagen and Michael G. Longenhagen, and by her great-grandchildren Olivia Gasco and Arbor Gasco. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 9:00AM until her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, PA 19454.  Her interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 1617 John F. Kennedy Boulevard Suite 700 Philadelphia, PA 19103.
