Judith E. Ramp (Tatusko)

Judith Ellen Ramp passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at her warm and welcoming home in New Hope. She was 78.

Born in Shamokin, PA she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Olley Tatusko and sister of the late Noreen Tatusko Schwalm, and wife of James Edward Ramp, to whom she was married for 53 years.

In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by: children Megan Schweitzer and husband Joe, of Melbourne, FL, Kyle Ramp and wife Vonda, of Dillsburg; nephew Nathan Schwalm, and 7 beloved grandchildren: Skyler, Dawson, Carson, Averie, Josh, Nick, and Ryan.

Judy moved from Shamokin after graduating Coal Township High School and attended Sacred Heart of Jesus in Norristown where she became a medical technician. Judy worked in a doctor’s office for 18 years where she made lifelong friends.  In her late forties she was drawn to another calling and studied to become a Chaplain at Abington Hospital.  Abington is where she flourished for 29 years touching countless doctors, nurses, patients and their families’ lives.

If you knew Judy, you knew her world was centered around her grandchildren.  You could always find Grana and Popie at one of their grandchildren’s dance recitals, cheer games, plays, awards ceremonies, school events, baseball, football, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, and soccer games. Grana loved to play board games and cards and watch the girls do one of their many skits. The kids always had fun with Grana, loved to laugh with her and to tell her their accomplishments- she was so proud of each of them!

Judy was your friend, your secret keeper, your shopping/breakfasting /swimming/canasta buddy, and your biggest fan! She was a woman of strong faith and was very active in her church, visiting church members, being on committees, and helping out whenever needed.  She loved her neighborhood, vacationing in Florida and going to Long Beach Island with her family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
