Doris M. Clift (Volz)

Doris M. Clift of Southampton, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2022 at The Landing of Southampton. She was 96. Doris was the beloved wife of the late William G. Clift, Sr.

Born in Philadelphia, Doris was the daughter of the late Frederick and Luella (Walker) Volz.

Doris was a graduate of Frankford High School class of 1943. She was a long time member of the Order of Eastern Star in the Burlington, NJ chapter where she was a two time Worthy Matron. Doris was also a member of the St Johns UMC Church as well as very involved in the Philadelphia Orchestra Guild. She worked as a secretary for the Navy International Logistics Control Office for 30 years before her retirement. 

Doris is survived by her daughter, Sharon Prim and her husband Richard of Richboro; son, William Clift, Jr. and his wife Kay of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Cynthia Ferrari and her husband Thomas, Richard and his wife Jessica, Jennifer Malizia and her husband Richard, William and his wife Lindsey, and Elizabeth White and her husband Tim; 11 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brothers Charles and Frederick Volz.

Doris’s family will receive friends on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 10:00AM until her Funeral Service at 11:00AM at the St. John’s Ivyland Church, 820 Almshouse Road, Ivyland, PA 18974. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St Johns United Methodist Church 820 Almshouse Road Ivyland PA 18974.
