Jeffrey Snyder

Jeffrey D. Snyder of Chalfont, died peacefully, at home surrounded by his devoted family on Saturday July 23, 2022. He was 65.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the beloved husband of Joan M. Knab Snyder, for the past 36 years. He was the son of the late Milford and Doris Goodman Snyder.

Jeff was a resident of Chalfont, PA for the past 29 years. He was a graduate of Temple University in 1980 with a B.A. degree, as well as a graduate of Toledo Law School in 1983.  .

Jeff’s professional career spanned many years.  After graduating law school, he initially served as a lawyer for the Veterans Administration in Washington D.C., before moving back to Pennsylvania to serve as a district attorney. Eventually, Jeff moved to private practice, where he worked both “in-house” as well as in private practice in insurance defense litigation, in time rising to become a partner before he retired in 2019.

In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed trips to the Pocono Mountains and all of the activities available up there.  He also enjoyed documentaries; learning about how anything and everything worked and why things are the way they are in the world.  Beyond any individual hobbies or interests, what Jeff most cared about, and what he was ultimately most successful in achieving, was working day and night to ensure that his family had every possible advantage to have a better life.   He will be sadly missed by all that came to know and love him.

In addition to his beloved wife Joan, he is survived by his children, Benjamin D. Snyder, Alyssa Snyder, Laura M. Snyder and Nathaniel E. Snyder.  Also surviving is his sister Sandra B. Snyder.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until his Prayer Service 11:00 a.m. at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA.
