Bruce Clift

On Monday, August 22, 2022, Bruce Clift passed away peacefully with his family by his side, after a long illness. Bruce was born in Philadelphia on April 11, 1961, and resided in Pipersville, PA with his devoted wife, Susan Clift (Kenney).  Bruce was a loving husband to Sue for fourteen years and they did everything together, he will be dearly missed. He loved to travel with her to the Jersey shore, Florida, Jamaica, anywhere the sun shined, and the ocean waves met the beach! He loved the Philadelphia Eagles and going out and having a good time.  He was always the life of the party!

Bruce spent his childhood in Holland, PA with his parents and three siblings. Bruce was pre-deceased by his loving parents, Robert and Betty Clift (nee Claypoole). They lovingly referred to him as "Brucie" and we are sure they happily welcomed him to his eternal reward.

Bruce will be deeply and sadly missed by his siblings, Steven Clift (Mary Jean Clift), Linda Bergmann, and Gail Uchniat (John Uchniat). Likely he was also greeted at the pearly gates by his pre-deceased brothers-in-law, George Bergmann and Frank Grassmuck. Frank probably had a steak and bloody mary waiting for him and George was probably talking about his trains and his boat.

Bruce loved spending time with his children, Heather Clift (Michael McCoach), Amanda Clift (Chris Gilmer), Brian Clift, and three stepchildren, Kelli Krall (Shawn McKeown), Christy Pitre (Danny Pitre), and Samantha Krall. He took great joy in his grandchildren Dennis Leary, Jensen McCoach, Sophia Pitre, Miles Pitre, Cole McKeown, Jemma McKeown, and Cheyenne Gilmer. He had a unique and special relationship with all of them. They will miss those times spent together, but forever have the memories in their hearts.

Bruce was also an Uncle and Great-Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed seeing them, hearing about their lives,  and careers. He spoke lovingly about them and, sadly, our family gatherings will never be quite the same.

He graduated from Council Rock High School and was always a hard worker. He worked for Frost Watson Lumber Yard in Newtown for several years where he was part of the Teamsters Union. Most recently, and for over 17 years, Bruce ran an electrical business with his only son Brian, who he loved to spend his days with and share his knowledge with.

Bruce was a kind, loving, sincere and patient man. He had an easy-going manner and was not easily flustered. He quietly touched more lives than he, or we, will ever know. The sun shines a little less brightly without him here with us. There are no words to explain the emptiness his passing has left in our lives. We take comfort knowing he is no longer in pain and is now resting peacefully in the arms of our Lord. He loved to hear the song "Always look on the Bright Side of Life” on the way into work with his son. In Bruce’s memory we, and you, should do the same because that’s what he would want us to do!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Monday, August 29,2022 at the Joseph A. Fluehr Ill Funeral Home located at 800 Newtown Richboro Road (at Holland Road) in Richboro, PA 18956. The viewing begins at 10:00 AM and the funeral service begins at 11:30 AM. His interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bruce's memory may bemade to the American Heart Association.
