John Yonaitis

John Yonaitis of Manassas, Virginia, formerly of Richboro, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 25, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  He was 73.  Born on September 19, 1948, John was the only child of the late John G. and Dorothy Repsis Yonaitis.  John was the beloved husband of 52 years to Concetta (nee Kaczmarek). 

In addition to his beloved wife, John is survived by his loving and devoted daughters, Jennifer Moldwin (Robert) of Long Island, NY and Conchetta Yonaitis (Cookie) of Wilmington, NC.  He was the cherished grandfather of Julianna Palmer, Luca Fariello and Caroline Falwell.  John is also survived by his 3 favorite furry pals, Jack, Alex and Scootie. 

John served his country for 4 years in the US Air Force, serving 1 year in Da Nang, Vietnam.  He was employed by the Federal Government for 35 years as an Auditor, first with the Naval Audit Service and then with the Department of Defense Inspector General’s Office (DODIG).  After retiring from the Government, John assumed the position of Vice President at Federal Management Systems, Inc. in Washington, D.C., a private consulting firm.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 10am to 11am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road (at Tanyard Road), Richboro, Pennsylvania 18954.  Interment will take place at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in John’s memory to be made to North Shore Animal League America, 25 Davis Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050, or New Hanover County Drug Treatment Center located at 1611 Castle Hayne Road, Wilmington, NC 28401.
