Alfred Leedom

Alfred “Fred” J. Leedom, 60, of Levittown, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 24, 2022. Fred was born in Bristol, PA on April 24, 1962. He was a son of the late Earl and Mary Lou (Naples) Leedom.

Fred loved spending time at Penn Warner Lake where he had a campsite for the past 33 years. He counted the days from November 1st when the lake closed until the reopening date of March 1st every year. Fred served as a Trustee of his church, Harriman UMC. He enjoyed trying new foods and restaurants with his family. Fred’s love of Led Zepplin music could always be heard in his truck. He was especially proud of his two stepchildren, Meghan and Christopher, graduating with their Masters degrees. However, what Fred treasure the most was every minute that he spent with his granddaughter, Lyric. His life changed the day she was born. Fred was grateful that Lyric lived with him, Denise, and Meghan. Lyric will miss him dearly, as she searches the sky each night looking for the brightest start. Fred was very proud that his wife, Denise, was becoming a local Pastor in Bristol. He was truly loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.

Along with his beloved wife, Denise, Fred is survived by his stepchildren, Meghan Bilger and Christopher Bilger (fiancé Victoria Braun); granddaughter, Lyric Smith; sister, Linda Hartle of Kodiak Island, Alaska (who he recently spent two weeks with in Alaska); in-laws, Steve and Barbara Medlar, with whom he shared a great love; sister-in-law, Cheryl Medlar; brother-in-law Steven Medlar and his wife B.J. Medlar; his best friend for 31 years, Darryl Babinchak; and many nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by his brother Michael Leedom.

Services will be held at Harriman United Methodist Church, 1700 Wilson Ave, Bristol, on September 23, 2022 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Tullytown Cemetery for those who wish to attend.

Contributions in Fred’s name can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, https://www.komen.org.
