Ronald G. Ernst

Ronald G. Ernst of Newtown, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Abington Hospital. He was 72.

Ronald was the loving husband to Mary T. Broyan Ernst for 49 years.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Ronald was the son of the late George and M. Virginia Ernst.

Through his career Ron worked as a salesman for Sporting Goods Stores, and later for 12 years at General Motors. Then he started his own business, Ron’s Trigger and Reel in Ewing. Finally before retiring, he worked as a school custodian at East Amwell Township School, in Ringoes. Ron’s passion though was his love for the outdoors and sharing that with family and friends. He was an avid freshwater fisherman in many New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Canadian waterways. Additionally, he enjoyed all the different seasons of hunting, with bowhunting being his favorite season. Often Ron would relate his adventures from the outdoors through his great storytelling.

In addition to his beloved wife, Ronald is survived by his children,Sharon Ernst and her fiancé Tim Kope of Ewing, NJ, Ronald J. Ernst and his wife Sarah of Horsham, PA; grandchildren, Ellie and Rachel Pridachin, Clint Kope, and Mackenzie and Avery Ernst; sister, Patricia Muschlitz of Milford, NJ, and many extended family members and close friends.

Ronald’s family will receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 8:30 am until 10:15 am at Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. The Funeral Mass will be at 11 am at the St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
