Gary W. Taylor

Gary W. Taylor of Newtown, Pa. passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was 73. Born in Greenville, PA, Gary was the son of the late Nelson and Ann Long Taylor.

Gary is survived by his wife, Nancy Tuttle Taylor and his beloved daughter, Danica Taylor of Holland, PA. He is also survived by his brothers, Tim Taylor of Alabama, Ron Taylor and his wife Courtney of Honey Brook, PA and sister, Carol Sue Daisley of Jamestown, PA. Gary was predeceased by sister-in-law, Joan Taylor and brother-in-law, Bob Daisley.

For 49 years, Gary was the loving husband of Nancy. He was completely devoted to his daughter and was always there for her whenever she needed him. Gary shared his love for animals and music with Danica. He was a lifelong musician who played and collected guitars, wrote music, and would often sing with his band. Gary was a star wrestler in his youth and Head Coach of the Rider Wrestling Team for 39 years. He is beloved by his wrestling family and continued to hold these relationships close to him even after his retirement in 2017. Gary always took care of everyone in his life and put them first. He will be remembered for being kind yet tough with his students and wrestlers but always a loving and gentle soul. He was a friend for life and the best husband and father anyone could ever hope for.

Gary’s family will receive friends and family on Tuesday September 20, 2022 from 10:00 AM until his Memorial Service at 12:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Newtown Cemetery.
