William G. Stocks

William G. “Bill” Stocks, 56, of Jamison, shared his final moments on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in a room full of loving family.

Bill was born to William T. Stocks (Sally) of Florida and the late Gwen (Pugliese) Stocks on May 29, 1966 in Jeannette, PA. Bill’s formative years were spent rooting for the Black and Gold, being a big brother to his sister Wendy Cookerly (Al), and marching in the Class of ‘84 Norwin Knights marching band. After graduating from Penn State in 1988, Bill’s career path took him to the eastern side of the state.

He would reside in the Philadelphia area for the rest of his life, settling in Jamison, PA. In 1987, toward the beginning of his lifelong career at Prudential, Bill met his future wife, Rose (Cope-McClintock) Stocks. She was the single mother of two teenage boys, Daniel McClintock (Jill) of Chalfont and Robert McClintock Jr. (Rachel) of Jamison. Rose and Bill were married on July 20, 1991.

These early family years included the birth of Bill and Roses’ daughters Taylre Stocks and Haileigh Stocks of Jamison. Soon he would be Uncle Bill to Damon, Rylee, Jacob of Indiana, Coach Bill was born soon after and under his leadership, his daughters’ travel softball teams played all over the country, and helped many players earn scholarships. Bill spent his last few years planning for retirement and being Pap to his five granddaughters; Camryn, Kendall, Madeline, Hannah, and Ava McClintock. They were his joy. Playing games, sharing meals, and enjoying family time, Bill loved family immensely. Bill and Rose eventually bought a home in Florida where they could enjoy their golden years. Golf carting around The Villages, enjoying live music (Hooligans), hitting the links (multiple holes-in-one), gardening, and enjoying cocktail hour – that was Bill and Rose living the dream. And while the end came way too suddenly for everyone’s comfort, Bill faced the end with dignity. He is loved and will be in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Bill.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 11:00am until a memorial celebration of life at 12:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain. His interment will be held privately.
