John M. Sawick of Quakertown, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022. He was 70. John was born in Philadelphia, PA, and was the son of the late John N. and Margaret M. Donohue Sawick.
John attended Penn State University and graduated with an Associate degree in Engineering.
John (aka “Stotch”) loved to fish and hunt. He fished for trout, shad and stripers and enjoyed sharing many stories about his trips, experiences, making fishing lures and “the one that got away”. His hunting trips took him to many states and he enjoyed spending time at “the cabin” with his hunting buddies. He enjoyed the outdoors and being with nature.
John is survived by his daughter, Jen Carey and her husband Bill of Chalfont, PA; grandchildren, Jessica, Devlin and Margaret; siblings, Neil Sawick and his wife Debbie, Bridget O’Hara and her husband Paul, Tim Sawick and his wife Maria, Dan Sawick and his wife Diana, Terry Sawick and Megan Kivlin and her husband Chuck; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his sister Victoria and niece Sarah.
John’s family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 10:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901, until his memorial service at 11:00am. Interment will take place privately at a later date.
