Irene B. Smith (Witt)

Irene B. Smith, 96, of Levittown, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late George Smith.

Born August 8, 1926 in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Josephine (Schuster) Witt.

Irene spent her childhood in Wilkes-Barre, PA, where she married her husband George and started a family. They relocated to North Brunswick, NJ, where she lived for sixty years. During this time, she enjoyed a twenty-five-year career at Bristol Myers Squibb in quality control. After retiring, Irene enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were a source of joy for her.

Survivors include three children, Barbara Olshefsky of Yardley, Karen Smith of Whiting, NJ, and Sharon Naporano (Andrew) of Scottsdale, AZ; six grandchildren, Karen Davis (Tim), Kristyn Viciedo (Asbel), Andrew Naporano (Lindsay), Michelle Yildiz (Erhan), Michael Naporano (Osnat), and Eric Hahn (Megan); and 16 great-grandchildren.

Irene was preceded in death by six siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 10:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown. Interment will be held privately.
