Joan M. Miller (Ryan)
Joan M. Miller of Holland died peacefully with family by her side on Sunday November 13, 2022 at Holland Village in Holland. She was 90.
She was the beloved wife of the late David M. Miller, Jr. who died in 2010.
Born in Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Martin and Margaret McGuigan Ryan and was also pre-deceased by her 6 siblings.
Joan was a 1950 graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls, and received her Associates Degree with Honors from Bucks County Community College in 1985. After graduating, she worked for many years as a Medical Secretary in Bucks County. Joan was a faithful communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Parish in Holland for over 40 years and participated in several parish organizations.
Joan was a talented artist and a lifelong learner. She was always interested and willing to learn new skills and participate in crafting activities. She was a member of the Lions Club and was active in the Bucks County Association of the Blind. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
The compassion and care that Joan received these past years from the staff at Holland Village is greatly appreciated by her family.
Joan is survived by her devoted children and their spouses, Martin Miller and his wife Eileen of Levittown David M. Miller and his wife Amy of Holland, Mary Stackhouse and her husband Mark of Newtown, Jean McCann and her husband Blake of Richboro, and Theresa A. Stratton and her husband Jeff of Holland. Joan is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday November 21, 2022 from 10:00AM until her Words of Remembrance 10:50AM with her Funeral Mass to follow in St. Bede the Venerable Church 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18966. Her interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
