Marie Clare McLaughlin (Black)

Marie Clare Black McLaughlin of Holland Pa & Longport N.J.  and formerly of Feasterville died peacefully at St. Mary Medical Center on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.  She was 91.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John Black and Marie Murphy.  She is predeased by her son Mark McLaughlin.

Marie was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School.  She was a devoted Catholic and was a former longtime parishioner at St. Christopher Church in Somerton before moving to Holland and joining St. Bede the Venerable Church where she attended Mass Daily.  Marie worked for Lenox in Langhorne for over ten years and she enjoyed Irish Dancing, but above all, Marie cherished her relationship with her Lord and the times she spent with her beloved family.  Marie will be greatly missed but eternally loved and remembered by everyone who had the pleasure to have been in her life and loved by her.

Marie is survived by her loving and devoted children: Teresa Pittmann (Nicholas) of Warminster, John McLaughlin (Eileen) of Feasterville, and Denise McLaughlin (Stephen Burmeister) of Doylestown.  She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Fabi McLaughlin.  Her nine grandchildren were the light in her world: Shannon, Eric, Evan, Jack, Bridget, Brian, Ava, Mark and Teresa, and her 4 great grandchildren Molly, Wayne, Eleanor, and Hailey.

Marie’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 10:00AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00AM in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road Holland, PA 18966.  Her interment will take place privately at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Bede the Venerable Church at the address above.
