LuLu M. Bisson

LuLu M. Bisson of Richboro, died peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Chandler Hall, Newtown.  She was 97.
Born in Davisville, she was a daughter of the late Mortimer A. L. and Elizabeth R.  (nee Wiley) Bisson.  Lulu was a longtime member of the Middletown Grange, and the Future Farmers of America.  She would take ten (10) day trail rides into the Bob Marshall Wilderness in Montana with her longtime friends Jack and Karen Hooker of the Montana Mountainview Ranch for over 20 years. She loved her horses and trained many horses for harness racing, working with Fred Hibbs and Dr. Cameron Wilson for many years, loved to read, her favorite author being J.A. Jance and Western Horseman Magazine and holds every issue of this magazine with the exception of one.  Lu, with her sister Fritz, assisted Dr. Cameron Wilson with Combined Driving Shows on the east coast.  Lu and Fritz assisted Dr. Wilson with animal surgeries for 20 years. Lu was a longtime member of the Richboro Ramblers Riding Club in her younger years.  Lu always had a kind word for everyone she would meet.
LuLu is survived by her cousins; Frank Wiley, Brian Shaffer, Beth Reddy, and Jill Maybe, Charles (Pork) and his wife Evelyn Bothers, Karen Bothers and Ron Bothers; dear friends, Michael Martin, Sue Premo, Maryanne Zhelesnick, Hutch and Linda Hamilton, and Judy Barwis. Lulu is also predeceased by her sisters, Fritz (Frances) Bisson and Ailene (Dick) Thompson.

LuLu’s family will have a viewing on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10:00am until her funeral service at 11:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.)  Richboro, PA 18954, with her interment to take place immediately following the service at Union Cemetery in Richboro.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Middletown Grange #684, 576 Penns Park Road, Newtown, PA  18940 or the Friends of the Historic Old School Meeting House; checks to be made to the Friends of the Meetinghouse, mail to P.O. Box 1645, Southampton, PA  18966.
