Patricia K. McCready (Keenan)

Patricia K. McCready of Philadelphia, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital. She was 82.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Edward C. and Mary E. (nee Mohan) Keenan.

Patricia was a loving, proud mother, grandmother, and aunt always with a smile and a laugh.  Her passion was her family and life in general. She loved children and their excitement.  She was a positive energy person. She loved to observe holidays with decorations and gifts, especially Christmas. She loved to be warm and was most happy when she could be at the beach in the sun either in New Jersey or Florida.    She especially liked lighthouses and what they stand for as beacons for home and safety.

Patricia is survived by her son, Michael J. VanLeer and his wife Cheryl A. of Richboro; grand-daughter; Kristen E. VanLeer of Richboro; siblings, Edward Keenan and his wife Paulette of Newtown, Thomas Keenan and his wife Jean of Del Haven, NJ, Veronica Greenly and her husband John of Middletown, DE, Patrick Keenan and his wife Maryann of Feasterville, Steven Keenan and his wife Dorothy Ann of Ivyland, and Regina Marie Bloomer and her husband John of North Wales; 18 nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews. Patricia is also predeceased by her sister, Joanne Keenan.

Patricia’s family will receive family and friends on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the St. Katherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 9700 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19114 for viewing from 9:00am to 10:30am with her Funeral Mass at 10:30am.  Interment to take place privately at a later date.
