Regina M. Lowrie (D'Angelo)

Regina Marie D’Angelo Lowrie, age 68, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at her home in Brigantine, New Jersey.

Regina was born on February 9, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph D’Angelo, Jr. and Ann Rita Guiliano D’Angelo.

Regina had nearly 40 years of experience in the real estate finance industry. She was President and CEO of Dytrix, Blue Bell, Pa., a fintech company, as well as the Founder, President and CEO of RML Investments Inc.

From 1994 to 2006, Ms. Lowrie was President and CEO of Gateway Funding Diversified Mortgage Services, Horsham, Pa.  From 2007 to 2013, Ms. Lowrie was President of Vision Mortgage Capital, a division of Continental Bank, and Senior Vice President of Continental Bank.

In 1995, she became the first woman to lead the MBA of Greater Philadelphia.  In 2003, Ms. Lowrie accepted her nomination to serve on the MBA leadership ladder, serving first as MBA Vice Chair, then MBA Chair-Elect. In October 2005 at the MBA Annual Convention & Expo in Orlando, Fla. Ms. Lowrie became the first female to serve as MBA Chair.   She earned her Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation from MBA in 2006.

Ms. Lowrie was the recipient of numerous awards, both inside and outside the mortgage industry.  She also served as an advisory board member and board of directors’ member for Fannie Mae National Advisory Council, the Radian Guaranty Advisory Board, the Board of Directors of Cherry Hill Mortgage Investment Corp., and the Board of Trustees of Gwynedd-Mercy University.

Most importantly, Regina was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.  She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.  She loved entertaining guests; seeing her friends and family happy gave her the most joy. The beach was her favorite place in the world, she spent the summer months at the shore with her grandchildren and friends.  She loved to ride her boat with as many people that could possibly fit. She chose “Blessed” for the name of her boat because she was so grateful to God for all of her many blessings. As a life-long Catholic, Regina spent her life loving and giving to others, and God’s presence always showed through her selflessness to everyone she met.

Regina is survived by her children, Crista Lowrie (David Siwy) of Doylestown, PA and Robert Lowrie of Riverview, FL; grandchildren, Shauna Marie Boyle, Aidan Joseph Boyle, Joseph David Siwy, Anthony Joseph Lowrie, and Alyssa Marie Lowrie; great-granddaughter, Lei’elani Sauls; and her beloved Goldendoodle, Bella.  She is also survived by her two sisters Joanne Malamud (Dr. Leonard Malamud) and Carol Mehaffey (William Mehaffey). Regina also had 6 nephews, 1 niece and 10 great nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30am, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 am, at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Road, North Wales, PA   19454.  Interment will take place privately at a later date.
