Donna Marie Kendall (Castine)

Donna Marie Kendall (Castine), of Southampton, PA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. She was 65 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late George Castine and Kathleen Castine (Davis).

Donna was a beautiful person who loved life and despite many obstacles and handicaps, never complained, she enjoyed the small things in life and always did things her way.  Katie was Donna’s world and family was very important and central to her life. She loved to crochet and kindly made blankets for anyone who asked. Basically, if you knew Donna, you have a “Donna” blanket. She had a great sense of humor and could start a conversation with anyone - and did! She was a huge fan of Motown and Doo-Wop music, and a highlight of her life was traveling on the Doo-Wop cruises and the friends she made during those trips.  Donna touched the lives of everyone who knew her and she will be missed dearly.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Kathleen “Katie” M. Kendall of Southampton, PA; sisters, Denise Boyle and her husband Stephen of Collegeville, PA, Kathleen Pettit and her husband Edward of Warminster, PA, Jean Marie Kiker and her husband Richard of Richboro, PA, and Tinamarie Horochiwsky of Philadelphia, PA; beloved friend, Carmelina Egan and her husband Michael of Holland, PA. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Donna’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Second Street Pike & Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966 from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Interment will take place privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
