Nicholas D. Rosso

Nicholas D. Rosso of Holland, PA died peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  He was 92.  Nicholas was the beloved husband of Annamae Presto Rosso for 68 years.

Born in Morrisville, PA, in 1930, Nicholas was the son of the late Dominick and Mary Messina Rosso.  He graduated from Morrisville High School in 1948 and was a proud Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Nick was an avid bowler, participating in many tournaments and men’s leagues over the years and he enjoyed golf as well.  He loved cars beginning with his father’s Model A Ford.  When the Atlantic City Casinos opened in 1978, that kindled a new interest for Nick.  He and Annamae would make the drive to A.C. nearly every Saturday afternoon for the next 30 years.  He retired from SEPTA in 1994 after many years in the transportation industry.

In addition to his wife Annamae, Nicholas is survived by his loving and devoted daughter Pamela A. Duffey and her husband Gerard of Holland, and his three grandsons Shane, Brett, and Troy.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law Carole Rosso, and many nieces and nephews.  Nicholas was preceded in death by his sisters Lucy Graziano and Mary Rosso, brothers Dominick Rosso and George Rosso, sisters-in-law June Rosso and Theresa Lattari, and brothers-in-law Joseph Graziano and Nicholas Lattari.  He was a family man and a loving and attentive grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road Holland, PA 18966 to attend the viewing for Nicholas on January 31, 2023 beginning at 10:30am with his funeral mass following at 11:30am.  His interment with Military Honors will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
