James A DeLuca

James A. DeLuca PE, “Jimmy”, of Langhorne, died Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 62 years old.

Jimmy was the beloved husband of 35 years to Joancarol Geonnotti DeLuca.

Born in Meadowbrook, PA, Jimmy was one of five children of Alfonso DeLuca of Yardley and the late Carmela Gregory DeLuca.

Jimmy was devoted to God in every way. He loved and treated everyone with respect and dignity. Above all, he loved his family. He cherished family outings on the golf course with his sons, babysitting his grandkids, test driving new cars with his wife, and spending time with his brothers, sister, and father. He was most proud of his five sons.

Jimmy graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 1982. After college, he went right to work with his dad and brothers in the family business, DeLuca Enterprises. Jimmy then earned his Professional Engineering license in 1999 specializing in civil and structural engineering. He was extremely proud of his professional engineering accomplishment.

Over the last few years, he founded multiple companies with his sons – Inkwiry, PROGETI, and DeLuca Construction. Jimmy taught his sons how to design and build when he founded PROGETI, a design engineering firm, and DeLuca Construction, a building company specializing in custom residential design. And, he founded Inkwiry, his latest passion and innovation, a financial technology company, focused on empowering everyone with the financial skills, knowledge, and tools needed to see and build their best tomorrows now.

In addition to his wife, Joancarol and father, Alfonso, Jimmy is survived by his five sons, Nicholas DeLuca and his wife Kara of Ivyland, Christopher DeLuca and his fiancée Kerry Sullivan of Yardley, James DeLuca and his wife Elise of Newtown, Andrew DeLuca and his fiancée Shaye Ahrens of Langhorne and Gregory DeLuca of Langhorne, his two brothers, Vincent G. and Joni DeLuca of Ivyland and Joseph A. and Rita DeLuca of Newtown and his sister Cynthia and her husband Anthony Geonnotti Jr. of Langhorne. He will forever be Pop Pop to his two grandkids – Rhodes DeLuca and Christopher DeLuca Jr. His memory also lives on with his many nieces and nephews.
