

Lois L. Green
Lois L. Green died peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Ann’s Choice Senior Living Center in Warminster, PA.
Lois was predeceased by her husband Alfred Green. She was a devoted & caring wife throughout their 70+ years of marriage. Their children are Susan (Bruce) Bishop, Sharon (David) Moul, & Laura (Reid) Abel; their grandchildren are Heather Bishop, Travis Bishop & Ransom Redman; & their two great granddaughters are Cailin & Madelyn. She is also survived by her sister, Wilma (Luyber) Worthington & many nieces & nephews.
Lois was born in Trenton, NJ & raised in Roebling, NJ. She was the eldest daughter of the late Alexander Luyber & Susan (Kalapos) Luyber & her siblings the late Elaine (Luyber) Marinelli, & the late Alan Luyber.
Lois graduated from Florence High School. After which she worked as a secretary at The John A. Roebling’s Sons Company in the executive offices. She was proficient at taking shorthand. She would sometimes write notes at home in shorthand, leaving her daughters puzzled as to their content.
When 1st married, Lois & Al lived in an apartment on a dairy farm in Hedding, NJ at which time she became a homemaker. They bought their 1st home in Beverly, NJ shortly after their 1st daughter was born. Their 2nd home in Cinnaminson, NJ was where their daughters primarily grew up.
Lois was accomplished at many fiber arts. She created a lot of their daughters’ clothing on her Singer sewing machine. Lois also enjoyed knitting & crocheting many cherished items for others such as sweaters & afghans. Lois had an eye for interior decorating & she liked changing their home’s décor for various seasons & holidays.
Lois & Al moved from Cinnaminson to South Jersey for a few years before making a move to the Inverness area in Florida. With summers being so hot, they bought a small getaway cabin in northwestern Georgia. They eventually came to like it so much in the Blue Ridge Mountains that they bought a three-story log home & made Georgia their primary residence. They moved back to NJ for about 6 years after which they moved to Ann’s Choice in Warminster, PA.
As lifelong Methodists, Lois & Al regularly attended church services wherever they have lived.
Lois will be most remembered for her remarkable memory & the twinkle in her eyes as she related fond recollections.
A service will take place at a future date at the convenience of the family.
Funeral Services will be held privately, on a future date.
