Dolores M. Radovich (Engesser)

Dolores M. Radovich, of Holland, PA died on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Holland Village, Holland, PA. She was 81. She was the beloved wife of 37 years to Charles G. Radovich Sr. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Josephine Martinangelo Engesser.

Dolores was loved so very much by her family and friends. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend. Dolores was adored by all who knew her including her patients. She was a 1964 graduate of All Souls Hospital Nursing School and worked as a nurse for over 50 years. She developed lifelong friendships and a love of life through her career as a caregiver. She even brought several of her patients home for Thanksgiving on occasion. Dolores began her profession as a labor and delivery nurse at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, then moved her focus into senior care at Statesman Nursing Home in the 1970’s. She continued caring for patients as a registered nurse at St. Mary Medical Center before finishing her career as a Home Health Care nurse taking care of children with special needs whom she adored. While Dolores dedicated a large part of her life to nursing care, her true joy was found in being with her family. She looked forward to visits with her grandchildren and doted over each and every one of them. Dolores would babysit her grandchildren in her younger years, always thinking of something fun to do with them like Disney on Ice, Sesame Place, visiting pet stores, baking Christmas cookies, trips to the shore, sleepovers and much more. There was never a shortage of fun when “nanny” was in charge!

Dolores was also a devoted and fun-loving wife to her beloved husband and best friend, Chuck. They spent hours joking with each other and enjoying each other’s company. They shared many years of love and laughter together; they were soulmates, a perfect match.

Dolores had a myriad of personal hobbies and interests which included gardening, bird watching & feeding, cooking, watching the Phillies and Eagles games, attending as many of her grandchildren’s sporting events, concerts and competitions as possible, as well as taking drives through Tyler Park and dining out with her husband. The beach was one of her favorite places where she found peace and serenity in the sun and sand.

Dolores took her children on countless trips to Seaside Heights in NJ where they would also visit with her parents and extended family. The void that Dolores’ passing left is immeasurable and the emotions that accompany her loss will be felt for years to come, but the love and memories she left behind will always be with us. Her patience, love, kindness and boundless ability to care for others will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Susan Nester and her husband Scott R. of Newtown, her son, Mark Serafin and his wife Sandy of Chalfont, her two step-sons; Charles G. Radovich, Jr. of Croydon and Scott Radovich of Wyomissing, PA, her two brothers Richard Engesser and his companion Marley of Arizona and Anthony Engesser and his wife Thea of Hawaii. She is also survived by her eleven loving grandchildren Allyson, Zachary, Luke, Jackson, Ava, Brooklyn, Charles III, Bryce, Brock, Macy and Rylyn and her one great-grandson, Trace.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings from 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 and Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 9:15am until her Funeral Service, 10:15am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro Pa 18954. Her interment will follow promptly at 11:30am in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
