Joseph L. Petrone Sr.

Joseph L. Petrone, 87 of Holland PA passed away peacefully on January 24, 2023, at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home in Doylestown PA.

He was the beloved husband of the late Noreen Petrone, who passed away July 27, 2022.

Joseph was born January 15, 1936, in Philadelphia PA, the son of the late Louis and Anna (Hepp) Petrone.

Joseph attended North Catholic High School in Philadelphia PA. He spent 4 years of service in the United States Army in the 506th Airborne Infantry.  After completing his service, he worked at Mack Trucks where he met his future wife, Noreen. 

Joseph enjoyed the New Jersey shore, fishing and crabbing with his son’s. He spent countless hours driving his sons to basketball games and loved watching them play.   As he was an only child, he relished spending time with his childhood friends from Onley, especially Lifelong friend and business partner Don Campanile, his cousins as well as his neighborhood friends in Mayfair.  Joseph was known for his sense of humor and being a jokester but would do anything to assist someone in need.  Above all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Joseph is preceded in death by his wife Noreen.  He leaves his sons, Joseph L Petrone Jr (Kathleen) of Blue Bell PA, Paul Petrone of Doylestown PA, Michael Petrone (Kellyann) of Cape May NJ.  His grandchildren; Joseph, Kathleen, Madelyn, Allison (Joseph) Wojtkielewicz, Mary Kate, Jessica, Emily, Sarah. Great-grandchildren; Croia Joan Wojtkielewicz and Hayden Joseph Wojtkielewicz.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 9:00 am until his prayer service at 10:30 am at Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Rd, (at Holland Rd.) Richboro PA 18954.  His interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, will be held privately for the family.
