Doreen A. Ekenstam (MacDonald)

Doreen A. Ekenstam (nee MacDonald), 66, of Langhorne, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Edward E. Ekenstam, Jr.

Born August 13, 1956 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late William and Eleanor (nee Howard) MacDonald.

She attended Nazareth Academy Grade School and graduated from Nazareth Academy High School in 1974.  She continued her studies at Bucks County Community College where she made the deans list several semesters.

Doreen pursued her love of accounting at several local manufacturing companies and also owned several small businesses catering to her love of crafts and pets.

She loved to read and crochet when she and Ed were not traveling and loved all of her fur babies.

Along with her husband, Ed, Doreen is survived by two step children, Tricia Gordon (Tom) of Washington D.C. and Edward Ekenstam III of Langhorne; one step grandchild, Melanie; two sisters, Eileen DiSalvio and Jacqueline Kloepfer; a nephew, Evan Kloepfer; and her dearest friend, Darlene Gonzales.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954 and at the Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 South Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA 18940, on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 10:00 am until her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment will be held privately.
