Marian E. Koch (Altland)

Marian E. Koch, 76, of Doylestown, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Reinhard A. Koch for 41 years. Along with her husband, Reinhard, Marian is survived by her daughter, Lauren Faller and her son in-law Michael of Coatesville.

Born on November 16, 1946 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Clair S. and Helen A. (Roth) Altland.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Roth Altland.

Marian was a fiercely loyal and caring friend. Many of her friendships were 40 or more years in length. Family was also extremely important to her; she and her brother Roth were very close. She also treasured Reinhard’s siblings, their spouses and children. She will be deeply missed by them all.

Marian loved the outdoors and was an avid bird enthusiast. She loved animals and took great pride in caring for them. She treasured her “lunch bunch”, enjoyed watching movies, and reading. Marian and Reinhard also relished traveling. They took several road trips across the country, as well as traveling in Europe.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10:00 am until the memorial service at 11:00 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marian’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society, https://www.cancer.org/
