William Stewart Sr.

William Hayden Stewart, Sr., 80, of Ormond Beach, Florida, sadly left us on February 15, 2023. 

He is predeceased by daughter, Jennifer. William is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia "Pat" Stewart, sons William (Jennifer), Brian (Kathy), brother Peter, sister Anne (Gerald) Francis, sister Rita (Jim) Healy, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was born on August 12, 1942 to John and Rita Stewart in Queens, NY. After graduating from St.  Dominic’s High School in 1960, William went on to study at Fairfield University where he received a Bachelors Degree. He then worked as a systems analyst with Merrill Lynch, then  Fidelity Investments, retiring as a Senior Vice President. Pat was Bill’s high school sweetheart  and love of his life. Golf, playing bridge, following the stock market, playing casino roulette  (where he was always a winner), and watching his favorite movie, The Godfather, were some of  his favorite activities. He was involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren, whom he  adored. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family members and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 21st, 2023 10 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, February 25th, 2023 11:30 AM at the All Saints Cemetery, 291 Durham Rd, Newtown, PA 18940. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of William and in honor of his daughter, Jennifer, to Gray Matters Brain Cancer Foundation www.GMBCF.org.
