Lorraine J. Strauss (Zapczynski)

Lorraine J. Zapczynski Strauss of Warminster, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023. She was 81. She was the beloved wife to the late Richard W. Strauss.

Lorraine was born in Philadelphia, PA, and was the daughter to the late Julius and Genevieve Zapczynski.

Our mom was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She loved taking care of everyone.

She was our dad’s first mate on their countless fishing and crabbing trips.

When not doting on our dad you would find her engrossed in a good book.  But only after making sure everyone’s bellies were full.

She will be greatly missed. But happily reunited with our dad.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Rick Strauss and his wife Marcelle of Doylestown, Tom Strauss and his wife Tami of Doylestown, Karen Beatty and her husband Mark of Doylestown; grandchildren, Rachel, Rebecca, and Kristina Strauss, Jacqueline Philpott and her husband Paul, Kirsten and Sean Strauss, Mark and Matthew Beatty; great-granddaughter, Hazel Marie Philpott.

Services and interments will be handled privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
