Robert R. Brooks

Robert R. Brooks of Sellersville, on Saturday February 25, 2023, passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle. He was 65.

Born in Abington, Bob was the beloved husband of Cheryl A. Lesseig Brooks for the past 39 years. Son of the late Hugh and Florence Behrens Brooks and brother of the late Donald Brooks.

Bob was a lifelong resident of Bucks County, raised in Holland and graduated from Council Rock High School, class of 1976. Growing up in a hardworking family, one of Bob’s many interests was working on automobiles.  His first job was working as a mechanic for Fritz Reilly’s Auto Repair in Churchville. After working for Fritz Reilly’s Auto Repair he acquired a position at Better Materials Company in Penns Park, working on heavy equipment.  Knowing he wanted more for his family, in 1985, he started R.C. Brooks Trucking, hauling out of Better Materials Quarry in Penns Park.

He operated R.C. Brooks Trucking for 6 or more years and saw an opportunity to acquire a new business.  He founded B & C Septic Service Inc. in 1991. His company has built and serviced many systems throughout Bucks and Montgomery County to this day.  He took pride in the quality of work and care for his customers for more than 30 years.

Bob enjoyed many things in life.  He loved dogs, cooking, going camping with friends and family,  NASCAR, and spending time at the family cabin in Dushore PA.  Bob and Cheryl each had motorcycles, and always looked forward to riding throughout the east coast with friends.  He is a member and President of Valley Forge Star Touring and Riding, where he made many lifelong friends.  He was also a coach and former president of Pennridge Soccer Association for over 15 years.

Bob will be remembered for his firm handshake, infectious smile, love for his family and never being without time to talk.

In addition to his beloved wife Cheryl, Bob is also survived by his son James Brooks, wife Brianne Hummel Brooks, and granddaughter Mckenna James Brooks of Quakertown.  His daughter Heather Brooks Dalton and her husband Cassidy Dalton of Sellersville.  His two sisters Beverly Benner of Wisconsin,  Jody Guntz and husband Frank Guntz of Souderton, and Sister in law Erica Brooks of Souderton.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family on Saturday March 4, 2023 from 9:30 am until his Funeral Service 11:30 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, Interment will be private.
