Joan E. Caron (MacDermott)

Joan E. Caron, 96, of Buckingham, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Jeremiah A. Caron, who passed away in 2020.

Born January 22, 1927 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late James and Edith (McCormick) MacDermott.

Joan was a practicing registered nurse for many years, as well as a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was also a loyal friend to many, up until her final days. Joan was loved by all who met her.

Survivors include two children, Jeremiah F. Caron of London, England and Mary Elizabeth Huyett (Jeffrey) of Nazareth; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Ballard (Michael Pflugfelder), Matthew Huyett, and Isabella Rose Caron; and a great-grandchild, Gabriel Ballard.

Joan was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen A. Caron; and siblings, Dorothy MacDermott, Fr. Gabriel MacDermott, and Lillian Gabrellas.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 10:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
