Patricia A. Brown-Paglione (Allen)

Patricia Ann Allen Brown-Paglione, of Southampton, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Southampton Estates. She was 83 years old. Patricia was the loving wife of the late Anthony Paglione.

Patricia was born on January 10, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Dr. David W. and Anne Van Den Heuvel Allen.

Pat and her brother grew up with a proper pastor father and a spunky farmgirl mother.  Being part of a pastor’s family made the church her 2nd home, and Pat worked hard to make her parents proud.  Her love and loyalty to her parents and brother were fiercely evident throughout her life.  Pat attended Wheaton College, earning her degree in Elementary Education.  She always spoke of her years at Wheaton with great fondness.

Pat married William Barry Brown in 1961 and they had 4 children.  While Pat was employed in many roles later in her life, being a stay-at-home mom with her children in her younger years was by far, her favorite.  She had a great love for children, and she considered being a devoted mom her very finest achievement.  Pat had a strong work ethic and she applied it diligently to her full family life at their 150+ year old farmhouse.  She had a large and amazing garden, played the piano beautifully, was a prolific seamstress, and maintained a keen “Jackie O” fashion sense, while keeping track of a very busy family schedule.  Her children all remember her overflowing “red book” that she kept by the phone.

After her divorce, she took jobs in various positions that reflected her interests and who she was.  She spent many years as a beloved realtor, serving and caring for her clientele like they were family.  In 1996, Pat married Anthony Paglione and they enjoyed 20 years together before his homegoing in July 2016.  They had planned to sell their home and move to Southampton Estates together, but Tony died before they could move in.  Pat followed through with their plan and moved into an apartment there in November 2016.  She missed her Tony dearly, but always maintained her kind, pleasant ways, making the most of her life at Southampton without him.  Pat eventually moved to higher levels of care at Southampton, enduring various difficult health issues with an amazing resilience, cheerful outlook and an unwavering commitment to her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Patricia is survived by her devoted children: Terri Lynn Penner and her husband Jon of Wheaton, IL, Timothy K. Brown and his wife Kirsten of Sagle, ID, Traci Joy Thorpe and her husband Rick of Jamison, PA, and Tucker M. Brown and his wife Cathy of Pennington, NJ; step daughters, Lisa Paglione-Brown (Rick) of Hamilton, NJ and Linda Paglione Maher (Dan) of Hamilton, NJ; grandchildren, Chelsey Granger Werner (Tom), Sophia Penner Ramirez (Pablo), David Penner (Emily), Olivia Penner Oslund (Zachary), Tobias Brown, Eliana Brown, Matthew Brown and Zoe Brown; step grandchildren, Richard and Luke Brown, and Daniel and Justine Maher; great grandchildren Rainn Ramirez, Rose Oslund, Noam Penner, Hudson Ramirez, and Louisa Oslund.  She is predeceased by her brother Paul D. Allen.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, April 1, 2023, beginning at 9:30am until her Memorial Service at 11:00am at the Compass Fellowship Baptist Church, 50 N Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville, PA 19067.

A private interment will take place at Ewing Cemetery.
