Phillip Zaks

Phillip H. Zaks, 73, of Wycombe, PA passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

Born February 15, 1950 in Abington, PA, he was the loving husband of 44 years to Susan E. (Weckerly) Zaks and son of the late Henry and Elisabeth (Gehris) Zaks.

Phil graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School, which is when he met his beloved wife, Sue, at a football game. Phil went on to graduate from Bowling Green University in 1972. As a manufacturer’s sales representative, he was the proud owner of PAR Associates, Inc. for 33 years.

In his early years, Phil learned his love of the outdoors. He had a passion for skiing, hunting and fishing. Phil was an Eagle Scout and OCNJ Beach Patrol Lifeguard. Spring was particularly his favorite time of year, as he loved working in the garden beds just like his mother. He also enjoyed the sunset views from his cabin on Lake Wallenpaupack, where he and Sue loved to host friends and family.

Those who knew Phil will always remember a Brittany Spaniel by his side. In retirement, Phil “Poppi” cherished his time with his grandsons. He was a family man who instilled valuable life lessons to all who knew him. He lived a wonderful life and will be missed dearly.

Along with his wife Susan, Phillip is survived by three sons, Sean Zaks (Heather), Steven Zaks (Lindsay), and Ryan Zaks (Tara); six grandsons; Brayden, Austin, Theodore, Ashton, Rowen, and Bodhi; and his sister, Judith Knipe.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Friday, April 14, 2023 from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 84 E. Oakland Avenue, Doylestown. Interment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery.

Contributions in Phillip’s name can be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
