Virginia M Saunders (Woolston)

Virginia M Saunders died peacefully, at home, on Sunday, May 21, 2023. She was 73 years old.

Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Peter G Saunders. The couple had shared 30 years of marriage before Peter’s sudden passing in 2004.

Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Harry and Virginia Marshall Woolston, Virginia was the sister of the late George Woolston and Harry Woolston.

Virginia was an RN at Holy Redeemer Ambulatory Surgery Center for many years before she retired in 2014. She loved her job and caring for her patients, and was often given positive feedback for her friendliness and professionalism. She also had a wide social network and loved having fun with her friends. 

Virginia will be missed by her children, Peter J Saunders, and Nicole M Saunders and her husband Alex Roche. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lucy, Wesley and Aiden.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Virginia’s family on Friday, June 9, from 9 AM, until the start of her Funeral Mass, 10 AM, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road in Richboro, PA 18954. Her burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Virginia's name to the Alzheimers Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington DC.
