Jamie Petry

Jamie Petry, of Newtown, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Friday, May 19, 2023, with soulmate, Tom Wisinski, and longtime friend, Eric Kellett, at her side. Jamie was born April 23, 1967 in Trenton, NJ to the late Edward James and Cornelia (Barberides) Petry.

Jamie was a 1985 graduate of Pennsbury High school, then attended Bucks County Community College. She volunteered her time at Aark, for the love of animals, and had a lifelong career as a restaurant manager. Jamie always greeted everyone with a smile. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, share herself, and evoke that same spirit of love in each person she knew. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone. Jamie enjoyed swimming at the beach in LBI, dining out, traveling, as well as French culture.

She devoted much of her time and energy to her fur babies, Truffy (late), Madeline “Maddie”, Chloe, and Paulette. She will be truly missed by all!

Survivors include two aunts, Teena Treptow and Anne Barberides; and 11 cousins, Bill Emanuel, Tim Emanuel, James Stephan, Robert Stephan, Greg Stephan, Anne Fikaris, Lisa Radmore, Lynne Sabutis, David Barberides, Scott Barberides, and Paula Ferrentino.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions be made in Jamie’s name to Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center, 1531 Upper Stump Road, Chalfont, PA 18914.
