Richard Mobley

Richard E. Mobley, 89, of Quakertown, passed away May 23, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Linayre A. (Bearn) Mobley.

Born October 14, 1933 in Norristown, he was a son of the late Elwood M. and Mary F. (Heppe) Mobley.

Richard served in the Army in Germany from 1953 to 1955. Handy with tools, he was a lifelong carpenter who loved spending time in his workshop, worked for the Centennial School District and eventually built his own home in Virginia. A former member of Faith Community Church and most recently, Bethel Baptist Church in Sellersville, he was a fan of NASCAR, football and his great grandson, Liam.

Along with his wife, Linayre, Richard is survived by two children, Rebecca Schwartz (Bill) and Glenn Mobley; two grandchildren, Bill Jr. (Lauren) and Bryan (Laura); a great-grandson, Liam; and a brother, Roger Mobley (Sylvia).

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 3:00 pm until the funeral service at 4:00 pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain. Interment will be held privately.
