Frank Murden Jr.

Frank L. Murden, Jr. of Furlong and formerly of Southampton, PA Died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving and devoted family on Friday, June 2, 2023.  He was 89.

Born in Philadelphia, PA Frank was the beloved husband of 63 years to the late Dolores Thompson Murden and the son of the late Frank L. Murden, Sr. and Mildred Strain Brown.

Frank was a proud Veteran of the Navy, a past president of the North East Counsel of Telephone Pioneers, and was the Past Grand Knight of the Raymond V. Hennessy Council 6145 Knights of Columbus.  Frank was an active longtime parishioner and communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel and was always available to assist at Church.  He enjoyed time spent with his fellow Knights but most especially he cherished time with his beloved family.  Frank will be greatly missed, but eternally loved by everyone who was in his life and loved by him.

Frank is survived by his children; Donna Marie Heaney and her husband Robert of Warrington, Michael James Murden and his wife Susan of New Port Richie, FL and Steven Murden and his life partner Kelly Chima of Furlong. He is also survived by his sister Susan Adams, his 10 cherished grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966.  His interment with Military Funeral Honors will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Avenue Newtown, PA 18940.
