MaryAnn McAnena (Stack)

MaryAnn McAnena (nee Stack), 58, of Lafayette Hill, PA, formerly of New Britain, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Bernard L. McAnena, Jr.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Patrick M. and Florence L. Stack.

On February 28, 1987, she married the love of her life, Bernie McAnena. They had two children together and provided them with a wonderful childhood full of many cherished memories. MaryAnn was a nurturer by nature, always putting her family first. She loved honoring old traditions and creating new ones, especially Christmas traditions. Anyone that knew her knows of her love for the holiday season and everything that comes with it. From decorating to cookie making and gift wrapping, every holiday ritual was based on making those she knew feel loved and appreciated.

MaryAnn is survived by her children, Bernard (Ashley) McAnena III and JoyceAnn McAnena; grandson, Bernard "Leo" McAnena IV; siblings Robert (Sheila) Stack, Kevin (Ann) Stack, Dennis Stack, Joyce (Larry) Davis, Patricia (Bud Scheerer) Stack, and Kathleen (K.C.) Buck; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and her three grand-doggies Gigi, Gator and Rocky.

MaryAnn was predeceased by her husband, Bernie; her adored mother Florence Stack; her mother-in-law Joan McAnena; her brothers James Stack and Michael Stack; and her sister Barbara Williams.

A viewing for MaryAnn will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 11:30am until services begin at 1:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901. The interment will be held privately at later date at the convenience of the family.
