Donald A. Molineux

Donald A. Molineux, of Newtown, died peacefully at St. Mary Medical Center on Thursday, March 21, 2024.  He was 83.

Donald was the beloved husband of 57 Years to Roberta M. Keefe Molineux.

Born on September 18, 1940, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Anne Keating Molineux.

Don who didn’t like the name Donald is survived by his wife Bobbie who doesn’t like the name Roberta and son’s Donn and Drew. His grandchildren, Lyla, Lexi and grandson Ashton (AJ). His brothers Phillip, Barry and sister Carol. And many nieces and nephews. His deceased sister June and Mother Ann Keating Molineux.

Don’s alma mater was Philadelphia Textiles and Science, which is now the Thomas Jefferson University. He majored in Textile Engineering where he was on an athletic scholarship. He lettered in four sports Baseball, Basketball, Soccer and Swimming. His professional Textile career started in North Carolina, then headed to New York for 10 years. He then organized and operated his own company Molintex Mills Inc. for over 30 years with great successes. His main success that rises to the top was becoming the largest supplier of the red, white and blue flag fabric for the American flag. He was so proud that his flag fabric flew over the White House and covered the caskets of hundreds of thousands of our fallen Veterans.

He loved sports and was a passionate season ticket holder to our beloved Philadelphia teams. Go Birds! His game of choice was golf and lead him playing the game all over the world. His goal was to play the top 100 courses in the world. He’s missing Augusta and a couple more. He belonged to the TPC course Jasna Polana and the Querencia Golf Course in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and his current course in Pennsylvania was the Lookaway Golf course.

His kindness and generosity to all will be missed and cherished by his family and friends for a life time come.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00AM in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road Newtown, PA 18940.  His interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
