Alberta A. Sakovich

Alberta “Birdee” Sakovich of Warminster passed away peacefully at Abington Jefferson Hospital surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Friday, March 22, 2024.  She was 91. 

Born in Greenvale, NY she was the daughter of the late Zygmun and Louise Moczulski Greber.

For 64 years Birdee was the beloved wife of the late Vince Sakovich.

Together they owned and operated a successful bar/restaurant in Warminster for 20 years.

Birdee enjoyed watching Penn State football and Philadelphia sports teams, knitting, bingo, cards, movie night and fireside chats with her dear friends at Christ’s Home. She treasured many backyard family get-togethers and any opportunity to spend time with her great-grandchildren. Birdee and Vince spent 20 happy years as snowbirds in Nokomis, Florida.  

Birdee is survived by her devoted children Vincent Sakovich (his fiancé Jacoba Wilson) of Elizabethtown, PA, and Cathy Hunsberger (her husband Steve) of Southampton, PA.  She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Andy Hunsberger (Chris), Kristin Hunt (Michael) and Ben Sakovich (Taylor); and her great-grandchildren, A.J., Ryan, and Tommy Hunsberger; Lily and Trevor Hunt.    

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Rd., Jamison, PA 18929.  Her interment will be private.
