Elizabeth A. Lavelle (McCausland)
Elizabeth Lavelle (née McCausland) passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Elizabeth A. Mack (McCausland) and Paul J. McCausland.
Eliss was a devoted wife, mom, Nana, sister, and friend. She met her soulmate Lawrence Lavelle and they were married on a cool and sunny day in the fall of 1969. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures.
As a mom, Eliss poured her heart into raising her three children: Larry, Shea, and Kevin. She instilled in them the values of love, kindness, and resilience. Her home was a place of warmth and acceptance, where family and friends gathered for holidays, birthdays, summer pool parties, and Sunday dinners.
Eliss’s greatest joy came from being a Nana. She adored her ten grandchildren: Jenna, Bryan, Kiernan, Liam, Ashlyn, Megan, Jake, Anna, Kylie, and Bridget. Whether it was swimming in the pool, playing cards, or doing puzzles, she cherished every moment spent with them. Her eyes sparkled with pride as she watched them grow, develop, and discover their passions.
Eliss is survived by her beloved husband, Lawrence; her children Larry (Kathy), Shea Keisling (Dave), and Kevin (Carla); and her cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her older siblings Paul McCausland and Carol DuPont, who will dearly miss the opportunities to lovingly tease and torment Eliss.
Eliss will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to either the Philabundance Food Bank or the American Lung Association.
