Condolences for Patrick Francis Langan

Rudy MolinetSaturday, March 4th

I remember the first time I met Pat when Harry and I started dating 24 years ago. He was a friendly guy, a great story teller, and an incredibly intelligent and kind man. I enjoyed listening to him because he knew his stuff, was passionate in his beliefs, but was always willing to listen to the other side. He was a great debater and was, first and foremost, a gentleman.

Pat's tough-guy, New York upbringing was a huge contrast to his gentle and caring heart. He was a true teddy bear inside. He was an open-minded and progressive person who fought for the "little guy" and was always volunteering for the causes dear to him. His devotion to his daughters and son, to his wife, to his in-laws, and to his family and friends, was something that always gave me a wonderful feeling and was evident always. He was a living role model of kindness and integrity.

Pat's battle with cancer and his last few days were emblematic of his warrior personality. He fought the good fight, against incredible medical odds. But when the time came, together with his family, he chose to remain at home, with his loved ones at his side, with his dignity intact under the loving care of hospice.

I will miss you dear brother-in-law. May you be with the Angels and know that our loving God will protect your family and will welcome you gladly into the realm of heaven. We love you Pat!

We are very lucky to have so many fond memories of pat. I can't recall any visits where he did not have us laughing. He lived a very full life and was always open to sharing. He truely loved his family as they were the center of his life. I am in awe at how much he showed his love until the day he passed. I will always remember you telling me of him singing happy birthday to you in his final days. That just left such an impression on me! His kindness will always be remembered. Opening your home for Kim's wedding was so selfless and generous. I remember him saying when is the next celebration we can have here. I hope that in time you and the girls will feel less pain. He will live on with you forever through his memories. I hope when the girls come to crossroads, that they will think of him. He always wanted the best for both of them and did everything in his power to help them. He was so proud of both and I hope they know that and continue in his footsteps. Please know that I am always here for all of you. I love all of you very much and wish there was more I could do to help you through this sad time. Keeping all of you in my heart.

Love
Janet

How lucky was I to have such a wonderful brother-in-law in Pat? I admired his dedication to his family and the love and support he provided for them. Pat's last words to me were how lucky he was to have such a wonderful wife and the great life she gave to him. He was such a great guy and he did such an amazing job with his children. Education was so important to Pat and seeing his two daughters grow up and become the beautiful young women they are today is a testament of his dedication and commitment to them to continue to strive for more. I will deeply miss Pat and the crazy stories he used to tell me. I'll miss our one-on-one chats either around my pool or on his back deck drinking a beer and talking about anything and everything. I want my sister and my nieces to know I am always there for them and I hold them dear in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time and always. I love you very much. May god be with you as you search for comfort and peace.
Love,
Harry
