Condolences for Dr. Dolores H. McNany (Byron)

Kathleen FinnertyMonday, February 15th

To my beloved Aunt Dolores better known as Tootsie by my dad John Silbernagel. I will miss talking to you so much and the help you gave me. I especially will miss our luncheons and early bird dinners(Haha). How about the trips to AC where you won and I didn't. But I guess I won because I was always spending more time with you.

You also taught me your Snarky respones to my friends & family. I couldn't ask for a more lving Aunt & person than you. I love you so much and you will always be in my heart. Love your neice Kathy

We were honored to become friends with Dolores shortly after she became our next-door neighbor several years ago. As fellow retired educators, we enjoyed numerous "five o'clock" get-togethers with her that were always interesting. Dolores gave us a copy of her book Angels in Disguise, which we enjoyed reading and discussing with her. The book now sits on our living-room bookshelf as a continuing reminder of the friendship and enjoyable times we had with Dolores.

RIP Mrs. McNany.
Yes, it will always be Mrs. McNany to me as you were one of a small group of great Moms to all of us “kids” who frequented your home as much as our own. And the admiration and respect for you dictate the formality. Always cherished, never forgotten. Thoughts and Prayers to all the McNanys and their extended families.

So many great memories with Maureen my very first childhood best friend. You were a great friend to my mom always helping her watching over me and my sisters. The best neighbor anyone could ask for . Sending love and prayers to the Mcnany family it was an honor growing up next to you all . You have a true angel watching over you ❤️🙏
