Joan always made time to “be present” and listen to others, sharing advice from a loving standpoint. She never dwelled on her illness, instead shining a positive light and sense of humor. If you remembered a food you enjoyed she would send a great recipe. Always thoughtful, selfless, kind, generous, smart and funny. Her determination to stay independent was admirable. She showed people it was ok to like your own company, a gift and life lesson- With Love and sympathy to Jeff, Megan and Jon

I worked with Joan for several years in Trenton. The thing I remember most about her was her kindness and her laugh. Her laugh was infectious and always made us laugh too. Rest In Peace Joan.
