After Millie’s passing, Frank and I would talk on a fairly regular basis. Those conversations wandered all over the place. If you know Frank, you, too, know those snippets of his life from sailing adventures as a young man to how he and Millie met to his military duty and knowledge of guns, his work years ---and the list goes on. The most prominent conversations, of course, involved the time spent with Millie, including their travels far and wide, as well as their challenges when an illness hit Millie. All things were seen through together; a true ‘match made in heaven.’ How so very much Frank missed his Millie.
I am already missing my conversations with Frank (as I missed my conversations with Millie). My peace comes in knowing Frank and Millie are once again joined. As Frank often ended our conversations . . . .”it has been a pleasure to speak with you dear . . . “
With both great sadness and thankfulness,
Janet and Bill Jester
Dear Frank (Smitty)
You were one of the last remaining BoyScouts from Troop 1 in Philadelphia. These 5 young boys, Rich, Ben, Ken, Frank(Thomas) and Smitty stayed close together and celebrated many important events such as weddings, births, promotions, and yes, funerals for one another through the years. My late husband, Frank Thomas, was an usher in Frank and Millie’s wedding right after high school. These “Boy Scouts” attended our wedding in center city Philadelphia in 1994 and we have remained in contact. Now there is one Boy Scout remaining, Ken Swearingen, who lives in Burlington, VT. God bless you Smitty. You are now with your sweetheart, Millie. Ann Hurd Thomas Fralix
At least now you are with your beloved Milly. I miss you my friend! Heaven received another blessed angel.
