Condolences for Michael "Mike" A. Katz

Stephanie RipleyWednesday, January 18th

Anita, Jesse, and family,
We are so sad to hear this news. Mike was a treasure. His kind eyes and mischievous smile always made us happy to be around him. We always enjoyed both working and socializing with Mike. He will be missed. Sending love and light to all.

Early in both our tenures at DCC, Mike used me as a willing test platform for new drinks. These were often accompanied by hilarity due to the potency and Mike's sense of humor. Mike always asked about our kids and seemed genuinely interested in our answers. I feel lucky to have seen him not that long ago at a friend's funeral. He was the same, with a quick smile and a focused interest in what you had to say. A good man, and he will be missed.

Anita, my heart goes out to you and everybody that knew and loved him. I remember when you first started dating him, I immediately felt a connection to him because my dad was also a bartender. It’s a special kind of man that does that job. Even though I don’t see you you’re always in my heart. ~Patti
