Bobby, Donny, and Drew,
I send my condolences and prayers. Don was a remarkable man. A dedicated and loving husband, father, brother and friend. He was more than just a brother to me. He was my very best friend. I will hold on to a lifetime of memories, but my last memory is one that I would like to share. A few weeks ago when I was visiting Don, which I did not believe was going to be my last time with him, he called me back two times to give me a hug before I left. I think he knew it was our last time together, and I will forever be grateful for that moment and that last hug. Thank you, Don. I am going to miss you.
Please accept our sincere sympathy for the loss of your dear husband. May God welcome him into eternal life.
Really saddened and shocked. Hard to believe he is gone. I am saddened for all of you.
I worked with Don in the industrial synthetics department at the Stevens Tower in 1973 during the summer between my junior and senior years at PCTS. I actually made my first airplane flight under Don to the manufacturing in Greenville, SC. Don treated me very well and taught me about industrial textiles. Through the years I would see Don and his sons at various textile shows and always remembered his kindness.
I am very sorry to hear about his passing. You already know what a fine man his. I just wanted to let you know, that I know too.
I pray for blessings and peace to the family.
