My deepest and sincere condolences on the passing of a tremendous being! I got to know Rich at Rohm and Haas as a fellow safety professional and he mentored my career enabling me to grow. He supported me as I left R&H to expand my career.
We loved talking about his fly fishing and life. His story about self-recue in the mountains after a storm and a fall made me wish I had also earned a manly face-scar.
Always smiling. Always helping. Reading his life story was like reading a wonderful life tale.
Love to the Grandzol family!!!! My being is thanks in large part to Rich! - Hoyt
Condolences for Richard J. Grandzol
Rich and I were friends throughout our schooling, including Drexel. I remember him as very friendly, curious, and a great outdoors-man (camping). We were in Troop 74 together. It was harder to be together at Drexel since he was in CE and I was in EE. I will always remember that smile of his, and his soft, easy-going manner. Rest in Peace, my dear friend.
Good bye & God bless U & your beautiful family. Thanks for all the wonderful memories, pictures and videos. We love you and we all miss you very much.
Richie was an extraordinarily "one of a kind" person who touched many hearts. To say how proud my dad was of Richie"s accomplishments is an understatement! I'll never forget the day Richie showed up on our doorstep to introduce his love Pat to my parents. So many memories. I'm sending my deepest love and condolences to Pat and all my cousins. Thank you from my heart for including Ryan in this beautiful obituary. Fly High Richie!
Rich is a great addition to our OLMC Knights of Columbus his friendly manor and willingness to contribute to all our fund raisers and ceremonial events is unmatched. We are going to miss his leading our quarterly Food Drive that he chaired and lead each successful event
Rest in Peace Brother Rich
Pat,
My condolences and prayers are with you and your family. I often think of Scouting and remember Rich and our times with Troop 52.
Sending sincere condolences to the family at this time of raw grief.
May Our Lord and His Blessed Mother
comfort you all.
I recently saw a post on Pinterest called “Train of Life” and given Uncle Richard’s love of trains I thought it fitting to mention here. It talks about all the different people that ride your train as passengers and the stations of your life where they get off and on. You never know when someone is going to leave your train, so live life loving, forgiving, giving and sharing. I am very thankful that Uncle Richard was a passenger on my train of life.
