Condolences for Gerard B. O'Donnell

Steve MacMillanFriday, April 5th

My condolences to the expanse of family and friends who admired and enjoyed Gerry “ Mr ‘O’s “ wit, charm and sense of humor … He was a gentleman, was loved, and will be missed.

Kathy and I and our family would like to extend our sincere sympathy and condolences to Aunt Kathleen and her family in the passing of our dear Uncle Jerry. I remember the good times my family had at their castle, as we referred to it, during our family gatherings with Jerry, Kathleen and our cousins. Even though those years have come and gone, those cherished moments and memories are always in my heart. My wife Kathy enjoyed talking to Jerry about their shared interest in Genealogy. They shared and compared notes and enlightened each other about our extended family roots. I know Kathy will miss those times. We will miss Jerry and remember all our family at this time who have gone to a better place. They are in our prayers. God bless.

So sorry to hear of Uncle Jerry's passing. I remember as a small child living in Kensington, Uncle Jerry as a teenager would come over and ride me around on his shoulders and my Mom saying "Watch her head" as we would go through doorways (he was tall). Then, he would take me a ride in his conver-tible. We also had picnics at their house and went in the pool. He also came to see me in center city Philadelphia when I worked in Publickers. I went around introducing him to all the people I worked with. I said this is "Uncle Jerry" and they said "Hi Uncle Jerry". He was the fun Uncle, and a great man. And, I loved him.
