Lawrence P. Chapman

Lawrence Provost Chapman, of Chalfont, PA, died at home on Thursday, October 18, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was 75 years old.

Born in Darby, PA, he had been a long-time resident of Bucks County, PA. He was the beloved husband of the late Maureen H. McMurdo-Chapman and son of the late William and Nellie Provost Chapman.

Lawrence will be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family immensely. As a deli owner, he was a fixture in the community and always treated his employees well. He had the perfect job for someone who loved to meet and talk to people.

Lawrence will be missed greatly by his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael L and Suzanne Chapman, James W. Chapman and Stephen P. and Ann Marie Chapman. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lily, MacKenzie, Jacob, Finn and Maxxwell; and his sister Phyllis.

Friends and relatives are invited to greet Lawrence’s family on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 10:00am until the time of his Funeral Service, 11:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery will take place with military honors, privately, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at 625 W. Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428 or to the American Cancer Society at 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
