Lewis Albert Hollish Jr.

Lewis A. Hollish Jr. of Furlong, PA died suddenly at his residence on Sunday, March 3, 2019. He was 74.

Born in Philadelphia, Lewis was the beloved husband of 30 years to Charlotte Bickley Hollish and was the son of the late Lewis A. and Eleanor Weber Hollish.

Lewis was a Veteran of the Army who served our Country during the Vietnam War. He was a successful self-employed building contractor in the Bucks County and Montgomery County for over 40 years prior to his retirement. He was a person that was full of life who loved to make people laugh with him and he also enjoyed meeting and getting to know new people. Lewis enjoyed watching the Villanova Wildcats Men’s Basketball team, the Penn State Nittany Lions Football team, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He was an avid reader and fisherman who enjoyed spending quality time with his beloved family and close friends in Long Beach Island and in Sea Isle. Lewis will be greatly missed by everyone who has had the pleasure to have been loved by him.

In addition to his wife Charlotte, Lewis is survived by his loving and devoted children: Barbara Tantum and her husband Don of Chalfont, PA, Lewis A. Hollish III and his wife Barbara of Horsham, PA, Jennifer Knowles of Vista, CA, Melinda McKinney and her husband Sean of San Marcos, CA, Tracy Penland and her husband Bob of Newtown, PA, Amy Costello and her husband Todd of San Marcos, CA and Craig Hollish and his wife Allison of Glen Mills, PA. He is also survived by his 14 dear grandchildren, his sisters: Marie McBrien and her husband Tom and Justine Killian, and his brother Joseph Hollish and his wife Natalie.

Services and interment will be private at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Shirts can be purchased in honor of Lew at the below site with all proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital:https://www.customink.com/fundraising/rip-big-lew-1944-2019
