Condolences for Daniel Edgar Worden

Waid WordenMonday, February 19th

You were my mentor, my role model, my hero, my dad. You taught me so many things I still use today, father-son things that never go away. You may be gone but you memory and name will live on in all of us.

Rest in peace dad/grandpa we will love you always.

Wendy WordenMonday, February 19th

Dad, you have always been my advisor, my mentor and my "doctor". I won't have anyone to call to ask about political questions, financial advise or just to talk. I will only have the memories of the wonderful times that we had together, which I will cherish for the rest of my life. Until we see each again - just know that I love you and miss you.

Esther (Carole) McSimov (maiden name Maupin)Saturday, April 27th

My family and I are so sorry for your loss. We recently just learned of his passing. Our mother, Carolyn Maupin, God rest her soul, who passed in August of 2023 at the age of 85, greatly admired him throughout her lifetime. Dan was our second cousin and our mom’s first cousin. At the age of 12 and 14 my sister Dorothy and I met him and his children Wade and Wendy at our grandparents’ (Ethel and Mike Worden) house in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Unfortunately, we never had an opportunity to get to know him better, but he sounds like he was a great man who went above and beyond to help others. This too was a trait of his grandfather who owned a grocery store in Ladysmith, Wisconsin and would accept chickens as trade when customers couldn’t pay for their groceries.

We are so so for your loss and know the heartbreak of losing a parent and loved one so dear.

May God give you and your family strength and that his memories bring you comfort and smiles.
God bless,

Esther Carole McSimov
and siblings-Annette, Perry, Ted, Morgan, and Dorothy.
